The work “Al-Awda Ice Cream” subjects us to difficult questions. How do we deal with
images of cruel events with unusual matters that interests us artistically? How can we
revisit those events, and even reproduce models through successive and overlapping
stages of ponder and observance of the artistic product representing the image itself?
Can the process be precise or should it examine the details carefully to be re inspired after
it waned? And how can there be distance between the moment the eyes captured that
image for the first time and the moment when that image became the motivation for an
artwork? or maybe there is no such distance?
